Physical Education

Meet our PE Lead

Samuel Brown, PE Teacher

My name is Sam B, and I am the PE teacher at Brunel School, currently working towards completing my ECT. I am passionate about using sport as a tool to promote enjoyment, build friendships, and develop essential life and teamwork skills.

My Teaching Approach - Physical Education is about exploring a wide range of sports to spark interest and develop skills across all areas. My goal is to design lessons that create an inclusive environment where pupils can actively engage, access learning, and enhance both their physical and mental well-being.

Our Setting - Supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is a key part of my role. I strive to foster a classroom culture that encourages pupils to move beyond the “I can’t do it” mindset and embrace an “I can try” attitude. Through carefully planned, sequential, and progressive lessons, pupils are given opportunities to express themselves physically and mentally across a variety of sports.

My Aspiration - My aspiration is for every child to participate in and enjoy physical activity. I also aim to help pupils transfer the skills they learn in PE to other subjects and areas of life, empowering them to become the best version of themselves.
