Year 11 Leavers' Day 2026

Friday 26th June marked Year 11 Leavers' Day at Brunel School, as we celebrated the achievements of our pupils and the their next exciting steps in their preparation for adulthood.
In keeping with our strong culture of identity and belonging, each pupil was presented with a Year 11 leavers' hoodie, their football shirt, and their school uniform shirt, which was signed by friends and staff with heartfelt messages and well wishes. These special keepsakes will serve as a lasting reminder of the friendships, memories and successes they have made throughout their time at Brunel School.
To celebrate the end of their secondary education journey, pupils enjoyed a delicious buffet together, followed by a visit from Mr Frosty's ice cream van, making for a wonderful afternoon of celebration.
As our Year 11 pupils move on to their next chapters, many will continue their journey through our own Supported Internships Programme, while others will progress to other further education opportunities. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and look forward to seeing them continue to thrive.
Although Leavers Day marks the end of their time in school, some pupils will return during July to complete their final examinations. They have approached this exam season with determination, aspiration and resilience, and we are immensely proud of the effort they have shown.
We look forward to welcoming all of our Year 11 pupils back for Results Day on Thursday 20th August, where they will receive their exam results and be presented with the additional achievements they have gained during their time at Brunel School, including AQA Unit Award Scheme certificates.
It has been an honour to watch this wonderful group of young people grow, develop and progress throughout their journey with us. We wish them every success and happiness as they take their next steps.
Good luck, Year 11s – we are incredibly proud of you all!
